There is absolutely no reason to re-invent the wheel. We merely observed the market and identified business models that are not only thriving, but succeeding well during the bear. Launchpads are a very good revenue generating activity that has worked well for certain projects. These enable projects to acquire enough capital to initiate R&D towards much more innovative products in the web3 space.
The problem here is being able to deliver the same thing, but differentiated enough within the market so that it can stand on its own. There are many different chicken restaurants in the world, but not all are the same! It's the same thing with launchpads or any other product out there. One can still innovate in unique ways. So how is the D.E.M. Corp Incubator & Launchpad any different?
D.E.M. will allocate a small portion of funding for applicants who wish to build a prototype or proof-of-concept for their project. In exchange for this small investment, Neo Sol will hold the source code and release funds in tranches based on when established goalposts are met.
Once a proof-of-concept is achieved, D.E.M. Launchpad will work closely with the project founders to conceptualise and build the NFT project up till mint date. Advisory and assistance in terms of the art is included. And it is a requirement that the branding or concept stays true to the Neo Sol universe.
We will not launch just any project. Some launchpads do not discern when it comes to projects that they'll launch. Some launchpads only want to launch projects that are already "cooked" so to speak. And some launchpads gatekeep the space by choosing ones that have web2 clout. For Neo Sol, we target projects that have synergistic possibilities within our eco-system. An example would be a project who wants to build on top of our ATLAS Intel API. Neo Sol is adopting an "eco-system first" approach on how we want to steer this project. We don't care about short-term metas. We care about creating something that will last for a long time.
The benefits are great if our concept of a launchpad works. Each and every time we enable a successful launch to occur, we strengthen the Neo Sol universe and eco-system. At some point, it may even be the case that Neo Sol can have enough inside it's war chests that a certain portion of the supply can be allocated purely for holders of our genesis collection, but also for the investment fund as well in a linear vesting schedule. It seems counter to what we state in the initial pages of this manifesto that we're focusing on revenue post mint. It would be easy enough to launch any project for greed, but the thing is, we are looking at the long-term possibilities of the space. Where we have a closed-circuit eco-system for Neo Sol and where each and every member of our community joins us to the moon.
